RYSE LIVE is our signature 90-minute virtual session that helps families understand how school choice really works—and how to make a decision you’ll feel confident about.
What You’ll Learn:
What you need to know about different types of schools including magnets, charters, and traditional public schools—with a focus on what families often wish they knew earlier including real trade-offs that aren’t in the brochures.
5 myths that mislead even thoughtful families.
What research says really matters when choosing a school.
A recommended process for choosing a school that’s a great fit for your family.
Who This Is For:
Any parent, guardian, or caregiver looking to make a smart school choice—including:
Families who are making their 1st school choice or their 5th
Elementary, middle, and high school families
Those looking to move to Charlotte or within the Charlotte area
Caregivers of babies and toddlers who want to understand the education landscape early on
Families outside of the Charlotte area who want to understand the education dynamics that impact many U.S. locations
This session gives you the foundation you need to move forward with clarity, not confusion.
ryse live may not be a fit if…
…you’re only considering private schools.
RYSE focuses primarily on public options—traditional, magnet, charter schools—as that is where we have high quality data about students’ learning in schools.
We will, however, review broad evidence about the private sector and share what families “wish we had known” regarding private schools.
Many find the understanding of the education system as a whole to be helpful even when considering private options.
We aren’t able at this time to support with exploring specific private school options.
